Education

Welcoming Environments

Building works within the educational sector present substantial challenges in terms of budgeting, timelines, permissions and stakeholder reporting. Budgetary constraints cannot affect the final product – all fixtures and fittings must comply with the highest safety standards and be capable of handling substantial people flow and hard use for the lifetime of the buildings. Most educational buildings need to accommodate a mixture of quiet learning spaces and large, more public areas and possibly laboratories containing hazardous materials or complex equipment. In addition, educational institutions need to inspire and provide a welcoming environment for students and staff.

The building itself must also comply with regulations in terms of sustainability, accessibility, and health and safety standards during construction and everyday operations. All designs, plans, and budgets must also be signed off by a variety of stakeholders from different walks of life with different perspectives and priorities.

At PEMCAS, we understand and relish the unique challenges and opportunities that educational projects bring, and will work with you to develop appropriate solutions for every stage.

Our dedicated team of designers, engineers, architectural engineers and project managers have years of experience in designing, managing and delivering complex and major education projects, but we are keen to consult on smaller community projects also. No matter what stage your education project is at, we can help.
